Bookstore De Kler is moving to a new location in the Stadshart

Bookstore De Kler packs all the books, magazines, stationery and office supplies and moves the entire business to another building in the Stadshart. As a result, the store will close for a few days.

Due to the large-scale renovation in the Passage, De Kler is looking for a new home. They will soon move to a temporary location and then move again to a permanent location.

Next to Zeeman

Bookstore De Kler will open the doors of the store at Promenade 275 on Tuesday, January 23. This is next to Zeeman XL. An employee says that the bookstore will remain at this address for a maximum of six months. “We are looking for a new home in the Stadshart. After that six months we will move to a permanent place, but we will not return to the Passage.”

Daily Plaza

Bookstore De Kler took over Haasbeek’s bookstore in the Passage in 2016. Owner Ping Properties will convert the Passage into a Daily Plaza: an indoor shopping area with fresh food stores, shops and a supermarket. For example, toy store Intertoys has extended the lease and this store will therefore remain in the Passage.

Closed for two days

In preparation for the move, De Kler will close two days in advance. This means that the bookstore will be closed on Sunday 21 and Monday 22 January. On Tuesday, January 23, you can visit the temporary store from 9:30 am.
