Boohoo changes CFO

British clothing retailer Boohoo Group Plc fills a key post. On Thursday, the company announced the appointment of Shaun McCabe as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The designated chief financial officer will take over the post “in the course of the year,” the company said. He will then succeed Neil Catto, who will move to the board of directors, where he will be responsible for “strategic projects” as executive director. Catto will remain CFO until his successor joins to ensure an “orderly handover,” Boohoo said.

With Shaun McCabe, the fast fashion specialist was able to hire an experienced financial expert. The 53-year-old is currently the CFO of British travel service provider Trainline Plc, having previously held various managerial positions at clothing retailer Asos Plc and Amazon Europe.

McCabe is no stranger to his future employer: he has been a non-executive director on Boohoo’s board of directors since 2020 and currently heads the company’s audit and risk committees. After joining as CFO, Brian Small and Tim Morris are to become new chairs of the audit committee and risk committee, respectively, the group announced. A replacement for McCabe as non-executive director is currently being sought.
