Bonnie Tyler remains in intensive care in Portugal. All concerts until August have been canceled.

Bonnie Tyler remains in the hospital after emergency intestinal surgery. According to her family, the 75-year-old is still in intensive care in Portugal.

Her condition has improved, but there is still no sign of an all-clear, according to current information.

The plan: full recovery

In a statement on June 15, the singer’s family said Bonnie Tyler was no longer in a coma but “remains very ill.” The doctors observed progress, but recovery was slow.

Despite the tense situation, the treating doctors still expect a full recovery. However, time will still be needed for this.

Concerts until August are canceled

Due to the health situation, all planned performances up to and including August 2026 have been canceled. If possible, some dates should be moved to next year.

The family also expressed the hope that Tyler would be able to perform again in the fall. If the recovery goes according to plan, their next concert could take place on October 23rd in Bucharest.

Thanks for support from all over the world

In the statement, the family apologized to fans and organizers for the last-minute changes. At the same time, she thanked Bonnie Tyler for the numerous well wishes that she received from many countries.

The singer knows about the news and is grateful for the support, it goes on to say.

European tour planned for 50th career anniversary

Bonnie Tyler originally wanted to begin a European tour at the end of May to celebrate her 50th stage anniversary. Her first single “My! My! Honeycomb” was released in 1976. She became known worldwide especially with the hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, released in 1983.

Whether the planned autumn appointments can take place depends on the further course of her recovery. So far, the musician’s environment has been cautiously optimistic.
