After their first defeat of the season in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the Telekom Baskets Bonn have come back and are top of the table again. In the catch-up game at Syntainics MBC in Weißenfels, the guests prevailed on Friday evening with 91:74 (36:36) despite a false start.
The duel was originally supposed to take place on October 3rd, but was postponed due to a Champions League appearance by Bonn. Top scorer in the Telekom Baskets, who overtook Bayern Munich (both 7-1 wins), was US guard Jeremy Morgan with 21 points. The MBC (2:6) slipped to 17th place.
Bonn had lost at the MHP giants Ludwigsburg last weekend (80:84). At the MBC, coach Tuomas Iisalo’s team was quickly 2:13 behind (6th minute), but fought their way up and set the course for victory after the break.
