George Lazenby was only traveling in the cinema as an 007, but his bond appearance in “In the secret service of her Majesty” (1969) was remembered. Now his former wife Pam Shriver announced that the Australian actor was ill.
Both had actually divorced in 2011, but after the devastating forest fires in Hollywood, which meant life danger to Lazilby, the ex-tennis star and the mime approached again.
“That day I realized how much it still means to me,” said Shriver back then. Now she is trying to take care of the seriously ill Lazilby, who can no longer leave the house without a rollator.

“George is now 85 and has dementia, but he is still completely himself,” said the 63-year-old “Telegraph”. “Maybe it’s a softer version of itself – and that is crucial.”
The separation years held for both who have three children together, but not a good time ready. “I don’t want to say that it was less than terrible,” said Shriver. “We didn’t talk to each other for two years.” But in the greatest need, when the actor’s existence was threatened, love came back.
“I would like to expand this late phase of reconciliation and renewal as long as possible,” clarified Shriver. “We go for a walk together, talk about the children and all the little worries that everyone knows who has an older relative.”
And there is no problem if the same tennis games run again and again on TV, according to the former US tennis icon with a laugh.
