Bon Iver’s new album is just around the corner: Sable, Fable is to be released on April 11th and has been the first real record by Justin Vernon for six years. The work should (hereinafter referring to the 2024 EP Sable) to tell a story about love and report on how light and sadness can become joy out of darkness.
On Friday, February 14th, Bon Iver now heralds the era of Sable, Fable with the release of the single “Everything is Peaceful Love”. The track not only appears as a song, but is accompanied by a music video by the filmmaker John Wilson.
The album was produced by Justin Vernon and Jim-E Stack and mostly recorded in Vernon’s studio in Wisconsin. The concept for the LP was created in 2022 when Vernon and Danielle Haim worked together in the studio. Locked up by a snowstorm, the two teamed up and created the duet “if only i could wait”.
According to the press release, Sable, Fable combines elements of Vernon’s earlier work, while it also pursues a new, clearer approach and continues to pass the topics in love and self -discovery in a melodic saga.
