The journey started in Leeuwarden earlier this year. Doedens traveled a circle line through nine countries of Europe, of which Leeuwarden and Nova Gorica are both Poles in Italy. They were cultural capitals in 2018 and 2025. The circle line goes through nine countries. Final destination is tomorrow, Leeuwarden.
Make the world better and more beautiful
Doedens: “By giving trees, we actually plant seeds. In this way we try to do something about improving and making the world more beautiful. Everyone can participate. The result is that a ribbon of ‘birthday forests’ creates along that line. They together form a landscape artwork.”
