The defense of Brazilian former President Jair Bolsonaro filed an appeal on Friday against the trial in which he was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Earlier this week, the Supreme Court ruled that Bolsonaro must serve his sentence in a police cell in Brasilia after he tried to cut his ankle monitor.
