Around 200 places in the world rankings forward
“My dream is to win the tournament, not to be in the semi -finals,” she said in front of the match against Gauff and added: “I feel comfortable here. I am super happy to be here, and I hope that it will continue as long as possible.”
On their way to the semi-finals, Boisson defeated two top ten players with Jessica Pegula (USA) and Mirra Andreeva (Russia). It was no longer enough against the world ranking second.
While Gauff was in the Paris final for the second time after 2022 (at that time she was defeated by Swiatek), after the tournament of her life, Boisson can look forward to a huge leap in the world rankings to 65th place and a prize money of 690,000 euros – so far, she had brought it to only around 140,000 euros in bonuses in her career.
