A body was found on a boat at a marina on the Hemmeland in Monnickendam this evening. The police are on the scene and are investigating the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
The report of the remains in the port came in at 8:26 p.m. The fire brigade is also on site to support the police.
A police spokesperson said it is still too early to say anything about the deceased. “We have just started the death investigation.”
