For more than twenty years, Pippo Delbono held in his theater company Bobò, an illiterate and microcephalic deaf-mute who he had met during a theater internship at the Aversa mental hospital (where he had been hospitalized for 45 years) and whose expressive power had immediately bewitched him.
But more than telling the stages of their long partnership, which led them to receive applause and awards all over the world, Delbono prefers to show it in action, when what were objectively limitations are transformed into a captivating and engaging scenic force.

Those who attended their shows were won over by the vitality of a man to whom Nature had denied the means with which he usually expresses himself. «When he wore a costume, Bobò immediately became that character» says Delbono and the videos where he is seen at work, whether he is directing a village band or dancing with the women of “santeria” in Cuba, are there to bear witness to this extraordinary transformation.
