Bob Sikkes, the big star of buying without looking, is really completely done with the RTL breakfast news. He has decided not to look at it for a day. “Even tucked away in the cupboard.”
For many people it is a fixture on their working day: watching the RTL breakfast news in the morning. The well-known TV contractor Bob Sikkes also started his day with this for years, but he stopped abruptly. He has decided not to spend a minute of his time on it, because it made him very negative.
No more TV
Bob is done with linear television. “I used to watch RTL breakfast news every morning, but in my new house I put the TV in a cupboard. I no longer watch linear TV,” he says in Veronica Superguide. “I no longer want to start my day with the Gaza Strip.”
He still looks back things, such as B&B full of love, also from RTL 4. “I thought I was immune to B&B full of love, but I really got addicted to that. I can’t wait until it starts again this summer.”
Vulnerable
What does Bob like about that? “I think it is incredibly well made, because the candidates and participants feel very safe in front of the cameramen, recording leaders and other stakeholders and dare to be extremely vulnerable.”
He concludes: “The intimate conversations they have are therefore recognizable to many. I think B&B full of love is more fun than winter full of love, because that is to clownesk.”
