Blue Tomato expands to Italy

Blue Tomato opens its first store in Italy.

The first Italian store of the Austrian sportswear retailer opens its doors in Trento, announced Blue Tomato on Wednesday. The company offers its range on 250 square meters in Via Paolo Oss-Mazzurana in the old town of Trento. The location is managed by store manager Tiziano Taglianozzi and employs four other employees.

“The decision to choose Italy as the new target market for our network of locations has been on our agenda for a long time,” said Tillmann Ruprecht, Director of Sales & Service at Blue Tomato. “We have a large number of online customers from this country, and many Italians also shop in our shops across Europe.”

It cannot be ruled out for the company to open further locations in Italy. According to Ruprecht, a store could perhaps open in Modena in the future.
