Koen Blommestijn can make minutes for Telstar tomorrow for the first time since the end of September. The FC Volendam mercenary was injured in the match against Jong FC Utrecht (2-2). Coincidentally, that is also the opponent for the Velseners tomorrow.
“We have a large group at our disposal,” said trainer Mike Snoei. “Some people are even returning. Koen Blommestijn is back in the selection for the first time. He worked hard on that.” Only Yaël Liesdek will not play again this season. “Anything that is earlier is a nice bonus. The doctor indicated that I should not take that into account.”

According to Snoei, it would be ‘a great shame’ if Telstar cannot follow up on the victory over De Graafschap. “I saw Jong Utrecht against De Graafschap last week, that was 1-1. They could even win there. It’s tomorrow at the youth complex and that’s super difficult to play football. Poor accommodation and the bad field don’t help.”
Telstar can rise three places with a win over Jong Utrecht: from eleventh to eighth. “That is the drive and motivation for my players. The boys love it, they get a lot of attention and more people come to watch. If we now rise in the rankings, it will be nice and busy on Friday against Jong PSV.”
The kick-off at Sportpark Zoudenbalch is tomorrow at 8 p.m. NH Sport is present and afterwards you can find interviews on the site and our socials.
