Bird flu was diagnosed at a petting zoo in Vlaardingen (province of South Holland). It is probably a highly pathogenic variant. To prevent the virus from spreading, the 137 chickens, turkeys and quails are being culled by the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).
