“Biological age, chronological age”, with particular attention to the contribution of Sports Medicine to the path of Healthy Life (Healthspan): is the theme of the 38th National Congress of the Italian Sports Medicine Federation, starting from 26 to 28 March, at the Rome Cavalieri Congress Center. Italian sports medicine specialists have the knowledge to determine and favor the factors that influence biological age compared to chronological age, reducing the risk of non-communicable diseases and ensuring healthy longevity. The Italian Sports Medicine Federation, the only Scientific Society of Sports Medicine recognized in Italy by the Ministry of Health, wants to bring this knowledge, refined alongside Olympic athletes, to the benefit of the population and the health and socioeconomic system of the country: an integrated and cost-effective model of prevention/prediction of chronic diseases, which combines the skills and experiences of Sports Medicine with the most recent epigenetic studies.
