Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates divorced a year ago after 27 years of marriage. Program founder Microsoft’s founder has finally given an interview to The Times about his divorce.

– I made a big mistake. I didn’t understand the implications of my behavior and actions, Gates commented on the resignation.

As the divorce began, rumors and scandals revolved around the couple. Meetings with Jeffrey Eppstein as well as a previous side jump put Bill in a bad light. In her own interview, Melinda said these reasons influenced the decision to resign.

After the resignation, Bill Gates lost his position at the top of the list of the richest people in the world. More than his own financial situation, he mourns the end of a long marriage.

– I grieve the same way Melinda does. We grew up together, but it didn’t work.

For the time being, the ex-couple will lead the co-founded foundation together. Otherwise the distances are distant. Gates has openly said he is single. The biggest change in his life after the divorce, Bill says, is moving children away from home.

“The year ahead is really different,” says Bill Gates.
