Bilal Erdoğan, who came to the event area where the 4th World Nomad Games was held in Bursa’s Iznik district, said that Turkey is a successful country in such international organizations.
Reminding that the first 3 of the organization was held in Kyrgyzstan, Erdoğan continued as follows:
“Our Kyrgyz friends have done successful works with great effort on the edge of Issyk Kul Lake. Now, the fact that we are on the edge of Iznik Lake has something to do with this. On the one hand, it is a large lake similar to Issyk Kul, and our ancestors and ancestors attributed greatness to such large lakes because of their abundance. “Iznik was chosen when we thought about it. On the one hand, the beauty of Iznik is magnificent for all kinds of events. It is a place that really needs to be seen and recognized. Its historical richness is evident. Explaining that they will open the World Nomad Games with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and many foreign statesmen, Erdoğan said:

We will try to find out who is the best by making competitions. Athletes will come and introduce their traditional sports outside their countries for the first time, perhaps for the first time in 30 branches. It is really not possible to see the cultural richness of one place in 4 days. In this sense, we can say that it is the only one in the field of the World Nomad Games. We welcome our citizens to Iznik, where they can easily reach the world’s largest traditional sports event. There is a huge crowd today, there is happiness in the eyes for him. I wish you good luck. Bilal Erdoğan stated that ethnosport organizations have been disrupted for several years due to the intervention of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Emphasizing that if there weren’t two years of loss, Erdogan said that he might have come to different points, despite this, he said that since 2015, when the World Ethnosports Confederation was established, they have been met with increasing interest from the public every year.
Expressing that the federations where traditional sports are kept alive have grown in recent years, Erdoğan said, “Traditional Archery Federation is the fastest growing federation in Turkey for the last 3 years. Over 10 thousand licensed athletes and more than 600 sports clubs participate. We will see the continuation of this in the javelin, I hope. “We will see it in our wrestling. We will watch a rapid development in branches such as mounted archery, which are very difficult to watch but are our own sport. Many of these branches do not know age. For example, our traditional game in love, it is a game that can be done at any age.” made its assessment.
Erdoğan added that as the World Ethnosport Confederation, they will continue to support the Nomad Games, the largest traditional sports event in the world.
