Biggest Depeche Mode fangirl? Juliette Lewis completely freaks out in Rome

Juliette Lewis, actress and singer (Juliette and the Licks) seems to be a huge Depeche Mode fan. On Twitter, she or a friend posted a video showing the 50-year-old on the way (apparently in a golf cart) to the British concert in Rome, and how she then sings along to the band’s hits in the audience quite confidently: “It’s No Good ‘, ‘Everything Counts’ and ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’.

The Hollywood star does not appear to have gotten (or claimed) any VIP seats, as the video footage shows her in the more rear section of the Stadio Olimpico, where Depeche Mode were guests on Wednesday (July 12). But that didn’t dampen Lewis’ mood. “Where are we going?” she asks at the very beginning of the one and a half minute clip. When the band gets going, they yell “Oh, my God!” and keep raising their fists in the air.

Depeche Mode are currently on a European tour. The indoor concert tour for the winter, which will also take the band to Germany for six performances, begins in February 2024. The pre-sale started yesterday Thursday and, as expected, went extremely well: At times, nothing went on the pre-sale pages more. On their tour, Depeche Mode will present songs from their current album “Memento Mori”, but also classics such as “Enjoy the Silence”, “Personal Jesus”, “Everything Counts”, “Never Let Me Down Again”, “Walking in my Shoes” , “Stripped”, “World in my Eyes” and “In your Room”. It is not yet clear whether Depeche Mode will also perform at the Berlin Waldbühne at the end of their “Memento Mori” tour, as was the case last time with the “Spirit” tour in 2018.

Juliette Lewis was last seen in the series “Yellowjackets” (on Sky) and has had an eventful career. The American actress celebrated her breakthrough in films such as Gilbert Grape: Somewhere in Iowa and Martin Scorsese’s Cape Fear, for which she received an Oscar nomination (for Best Supporting Actress) in 1992 at the age of 19. Juliette Lewis is also a punk musician with her band The Licks.
