The great German ski freestyle hope Muriel Mohr has delivered again. At the Big Air competition at the Bundesliga stadium in Austria in Klagenfurt, the 18-year-old flew spectacularly into the top 3, it was her second career podium.
The Chinese Liu Menting (170.6 points) won the competition, which was held on a large ski jump in the Wörthersee Stadium, ahead of the Italian Flora Tabanelli (170.20 points).
Mohr: Second podium in the seventh World Cup
Mohr achieved 166.20 points with her two best attempts. In the three rounds she stood her first two attempts, a Switch Left Bio 900 Tailgrab and a Left Double Cork 1080 Safety. In the third run and a Left Double 1080 Japan the German fell, but it was already clear for the Bavarian from Kirchheimer SC that she would end up on the podium – partly because the top favorites Sarah Höfflin and Mathilde Gremaud fell.
For Mohr, who only graduated from high school in the summer, third place is already the second podium this season after third place in the Big Air competition in October in Chur. Overall, the German was only competing in a World Cup competition for the seventh time.
Men’s competition without Germans
The Big Air podium places for men were awarded without German participation. New Zealander Luca Harrington won with 182.60 points ahead of Timothe Sivignon from France (180.40 points) and Matej Svancer from Austria (175.40 points).
