Coach Markus Gaugisch’s team made it into the final of the Final Four in the European League with an unnecessarily exciting 34:33 (14:12) against the Danish club Herning-Ikast Handbold.
Opponent there on Sunday (6 p.m.) is the Danish tournament host Viborg HK, who beat Minaur Baia Mare from Romania with 28:24. The second final participation after 2017 in the EHF Cup against Rostov-Don was the big goal of Gaugisch, who recently took over the German national team.

Bietigheim starts with self-confidence
