In a fast -paced game, Bielefeld and Magdeburg fought a hot duel – in the end the promoted player was allowed to cheer. Bochum conceded the goal late.
Arminia Bielefeld initially shot himself in the second place in the second place in the 2nd Bundesliga. The team turned up against 1. FC Magdeburg after a tough first half – and won 2: 0 (0-0) at the end. Maël Corboz scored for Bielefeld after 52 minutes, Joel Grodowski (62nd minute) only increased shortly afterwards.
The parallel game between SC Paderborn and VfL Bochum meanwhile ended 1-0. The table sixth from Paderborn had the clearly better chance, but desperately desperately to VfL keeper Timo Horn. Lucas Copado redeemed the SC late and met for victory (90th).
Bielefeld continued his furious start to the season, it was the third victory in the fifth game for the cup finalist. The guests from Magdeburg have to look down after three defeats in a row.
The Arminia, who even led the table after two match days, was lucky on the home alpine pasture. The FCM started bravely, won many duels in midfield, but did not take advantage of its few chances. Bielefeld’s Grodowski almost punished this shortly before the break (43.).
After the break, Magdeburg fans initially forced the ignition of plenty of fireworks for a three-minute interruption. When the game ran again, Corboz hit his head after a few seconds. A little later, flanken bearer Grodowski followed the 2-0 with a nice individual campaign. In the final phase, Bielefeld would have had to screw the result up.
After its relegation from the Bundesliga, VfL continues to go one floor deeper through difficult times. On the 61st birthday of coach Dieter Hecking, Bochum collected the fourth defeat in the fifth game.
