More than a thousand people took part in the Bicycle Ride Challenge, in which the province of Groningen, Groningen Accessible and the Groningers Brain Foundation challenged them to use their bicycles more often.
The cycling challenge was available for 14 weeks (February 11 – May 9) in the Brain Foundation’s walking app ‘Ommetje’. The participants together registered more than 35,000 bicycle rides. The average ride was about 6.6 kilometers and lasted 42 minutes. The participants rated the app with an 8.4.
The province of Groningen, Groningen Accessible and the Brain Foundation are investigating whether the Bicycle Ride Challenge should be continued.
