Bicycle repair shop Accell comes into American hands for 1.6 billion euros

Accell, the owner of bicycle brands such as Batavus and Sparta, is being taken over by a consortium led by the American investor KKR. Accell agreed a takeover price of 1.6 billion euros with the consortium, the parties announced on Monday. The Dutch investment company Teslin is increasing its stake in the company.
