The German biathletes went away empty-handed at the mass of the men, and even missed the top teen. It was still exciting in Lenzerheide.
The biathlon World Cup in Switzerland ended with a Norwegian triple victory. In the mass start of the men, Endre Strømsheim surprisingly triumphed in front of the top stars Sturla Holm Lægreid and Johannes Thingnes Bø, who had a gripping target sprint. Lægreid could narrowly win this.
The “Bø Minator” missed the 24th World Cup title of his impressive career after four shooting errors. He had already surpassed Legende Ole Einar Bjørndalen at the start of the title fights and has been the sole World Cup record holder since then.
Philipp Horn and Philipp Nawrath had to be content with the disappointing ranks 13 and 16. On Saturday, Horn and Nawrath had surprisingly bronze with the season over 4 × 7.5 km. The two were the only starters of the German Ski Association (DSV) in the mass start of the men.
After a short break, the World Cup in Nove Mesto/Czech Republic is coming up from March 6th to 9th.
