The Federal Association of E-Commerce and Mail Order Germany eV (Bevh) is filling a top position. On Wednesday, the industry organization announced that Alien Mulyk had been unanimously elected by the board as the new chief executive.
She will take up her new position on July 1st and succeed Christoph Wenk-Fischer. He will “retire from the association at the end of January 2027 after 17 years,” according to a statement.
Mulyk most recently headed the Public Affairs Europe & International department at Bevh “as a member of the management team,” the organization said. She can therefore “look back on many years of experience in political work”.
Association President Gero Furchheim explained the personnel decision. “Alien is a well-known face of the association who enjoys great recognition from the members and interlocutors of the Bevh,” he said in a statement. “Building on her industry expertise and political competence in Berlin and Brussels, she will form a strong management team together with Deputy Managing Director Martin Groß-Albenhausen.”
