It’s been almost 5 months since death of Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away at the age of 86 last June 12, and in recent weeks the family of the former Prime Minister is dealing with the legacy left by the politician and entrepreneur. Among the things left unfinished there were also monthly payments of 2,500 euros that Berlusconi had arranged for the 20 girls who participated in the evenings organized in Arcore, the so-called Olgettine involved on several occasions in the Ruby trials.

Stop monthly payments to Olgettine

Silvio Berlusconi’s family announced it yesterday Corriere della Seradecided to interrupt those monthly payments that the founder of Forza Italia had arranged as compensation for image damage suffered by the young people involved in the Ruby trials. Not only. In addition to the monthly payment, Berlusconi also had granted to some Olgettinas a series of houses on loan for use and the former Prime Minister’s family has decided to put an end to this too.

The interruption of payments was ordered with immediate effectwhile those who up to now have benefited from houses and homes on loan for use will be seen discontinue this privilege at the end of 2023. A real estate company attributable to the heirs of the former prime minister has already sent a letter to some of the girls involved in the trials to inform them of “the termination as a result of the death” of the free loan contract for the use of their apartments, which will therefore have to be returned to the Berlusconi family by 31 December 2023.

Who are the Olgettines

The term Olgettina has become part of the Treccani in 2018 with a definition as simple as it is clear: “Guest girl at Silvio Berlusconi’s dinners in Arcore, resident in via Olgettina in Milan”. Among the young people who have lived in the residential complex over the years, strictly free of charge, there are the former dental hygienist Nicole Minetti, Barbara Guerra, Marysthelle Polanco, Barbara Faggioli, Alessandra SorcinelliIris Berardi, the twins Imma and Eleonora De Vivo and Lisa Barizonte.

Not all the young people who at some point in recent years have lived at the expense of Silvio Berlusconi have continued to benefit from these advantages: Nicole Minetti left Italy some time agoWhile Marysthell Polanco returned the house in 2015 and closed all contact with the past, while for others the monthly payments had already been interrupted by Berlusconi himself in 2013.

The Olgettines promise battle

Barbara Guerra and Alessandra Sorcinelli they have lived for years in two villas built by star architect Mario Botta in Bernareggio, bought by Silvio Berlusconi for around 800 thousand euros each. Eviction came for them too, not without controversy. The two have already announced that they won’t give up easily to what, according to them, should be considered a gift from Berlusconi.

Barbara Guerra’s version

Guerra has already made arrangements for his lawyers, who in recent hours have released an audio from 2015 in which Berlusconi he assured the young woman that the villa would become hiseven if it was not possible for him to register it in her name until the end of the trial because it would have involved corruption: “Yes, I swear to you on my children, on my five children. The loan is immediately and as soon as the trial ends and our lawyers give the go-ahead free, I’ll make it your name.”

Alessandra Sorcinelli’s version

Alessandra Sorcinelli is also fierce, who points the finger at Silvio Berlusconi’s heirs: “There was a compensation agreement that had to be drawn up after the trial to avoid exploitation. The heirs are tarnishing the memory of their father who more than once expressed the desire to compensate us girls for damages. We were victims of a media attack that lasted 12 years, just because we were close to him. I am sure that if he were still alive he would never have allowed this massacre.”
