A 22-year-old Bergen resident was stabbed last night around 11 p.m. on the Kerkedijk in Bergen. Shortly afterwards, an Alkmaarder (35) was arrested. The victim is in the hospital.
The police received a report of a stabbing incident on Kerkedijk at 11:15 p.m. last night. On arrival it turned out that the victim from Bergen had already gone to the hospital independently.
An Alkmaarder was arrested not much later and is now detained. “We are investigating his role in the incident. It seems to be a conflict in a relational atmosphere,” a police spokesman responds.
To give evidence
He is being treated in hospital for his injuries. It is unknown how he is doing. The police calls witnesses or people with more information to report.
