After their live collision on TV, Ben van der Burg and Lale Gül appeared side by side again in RTL Tonight. The two have settled their argument. “I have apologized,” he said.

A rather false action by Lale Gül made for terribly uncomfortable TV last week: she revealed live at the desk of RTL Tonight what Ben van der Burg, who was sitting next to her, said to her during a video that had started: “Do you know what I just heard from Ben? That he used to work with Mei Li Vos and that everyone thought she was very stupid at the time.”

Not so nice

Ben does not like that his comment about the new chairman of the Senate was thrown into the living rooms. Yet he was in yesterday RTL Tonight side by side with Lale again. “I said something, that was stupid of me, because I didn’t expect Lala (meaning Lale, ed.) to say it to everyone.”

Host Renze Klamer: “You said something about Mei Li Vos as chairman of the Senate during a video and that was not very nice. That was not nice.”

‘Lale’s mistake’

That’s right, says Ben. “Yes. That was not very useful of me. My fault. My fault. But then Lale started telling me. I didn’t think that was very useful or very smart. That is wrong on Lale’s part.”

Lale: “I apologized.”

Studio guest Angela de Jong: “I just saw them hugging.”

Ben: “Yes, I came in and immediately hugged you.”

Whipout

Lale defends himself. “Yes, all my friends know that I am a big talker. You have to say very explicitly to me: ‘Don’t tell.'”

Ben: “Don’t tell Lale, people!”

Renze: “I don’t think other guests will tell you anything for the time being, but maybe that will recover.”

Lale: “Yes, that’s allowed, that’s better.”
