After the first quarter, the Belgians were already 31-8, but in the second quarter (17-24) they let the Montenegrins return to the game. After a third quarter in balance (15-13), the Cats pushed through again in the fourth (24-8). With 25 points, eight rebounds and three assists, the Bruges Kyara Linskens was the top performer at the Cats. Emma Meesseman from Ypres kept it at fifteen points, four rebounds and five assists. Nastja Claessens from Deerlijk took place with fourteen points, six rebounds and two assists in the spotlight.
Thursday the Belgians already won 81-52 against Portugal, which also lost to the Czech Republic (73-52) on Friday. Belgium and the Czech Republic are already sure of the first two places in the group and compete for group win on Thursday. In the quarterfinals they meet the first two of a group with Germany, Great Britain, Spain and Sweden.
