A 58-year-old Belgian was slightly injured this morning in a serious traffic accident in the Tyrolean Nassereith. An oncoming car veered out of its lane, causing the Belgian to be thrown off the road. His car then fell about 20 meters and then came to a stop.

According to police, a 38-year-old Hungarian man driving a van swerved into the oncoming lane shortly after 7 a.m. The cause of this is still unclear. There he collided head-on with an oncoming car, driven by a 58-year-old Belgian man.


The force of the collision threw the car off the road and overturned. Only about 20 meters lower did the car come to a stop on the grounds of a company.

Slightly injured

The Belgian driver was extremely lucky: he only suffered minor injuries in the collision. He was taken to hospital in Zams by ambulance. The driver who caused the accident was also uninjured. However, both vehicles sustained significant damage. Flying debris also damaged two other vehicles, both of which suffered a flat tire.
