Behind the scenes of ‘Vierlepoders’: “A puppy in the house is cute, but there are so many cool dogs in shelters”

Very occasionally there are television programs that give you an instant boost of happiness hormone. ‘Four-legged’ on Play 4 is such a program. The concept is simple: the Radio Gaga blood brothers Joris Hessels and Dominique Van Malder try to help shelter dogs find a new, nice home. They are assisted in this by four experts who do not act overnight. Fluffiness everywhere and at least as much affection. Now filming with animals is usually not easy. You simply cannot direct four-legged friends. How did they do that then? We asked makers Vanessa Hick and Cath Hauben, respectively editor and producer at production house Roses Are Blue.
