Anyone who has ever seen / heard an interview with Oasis knows him: the typical Manchester accent of the Gallagher brothers. Just in time for the Oasis Reunion Tour, which starts on July 4th in Cardiff, an Aldi market in the hometown of the band is now taking advantage of this characteristic.

An idiosyncratic homage

On a wall of the supermarket in Manchester, in the northwest Great Britain, the new lettering is now emblazoned in large letters: “Aldeh”. The renaming is a reference to the local dialect of the Gallagher brothers, which are born in Manchester. The renamed market is not far from the Heaton Park Stadium, where Oasis will play five large shows in mid -July.

On the Aldi UK website, Chief Commercial Officer explains the campaign as follows: “Manchester is a pulsating city with a rich music history, and with the reunification of Oasis we wanted to celebrate this event. By temporarily renaming our store in Bury New Road, we appreciate both the local dialect and the legendary band that inspired so many fans worldwide.”

Oasis fan articles at Aldi

The renaming is not the only Aldi campaign to the reunion tour. From July 3, there will also be special Oasis Bucket Hats-iconic fishing hats in the style of Liam Gallagher.

Plus: The “Aldeh” sign gets stuck at the branch until the Manchester concerts ended.

Again as a reminder: after 15 years of radio silence, Oasis 2025 return-with the stadium tour “Oasis Live ’25”. Liam and Noel Gallagher appear at 17 concerts in Great Britain and Ireland, including Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Other tour dates in North America, Asia and South America are also confirmed – a total of around 41 shows are planned.
