Bebe Rexha sustained head injuries during her concert at Pier 17 in New York on Sunday (June 18) when a cell phone was thrown towards the stage by a concertgoer. After the phone caught her, the pop singer went down. A group of crew members rushed onto the stage to help her. Eventually, Rexha had to leave the stage injured.
The wound then had to be stitched up. And the man who threw the phone at her was later identified and arrested. He was charged with assault.

The 33-year-old’s fans expressed their horror at the attack and their support for the singer on social media.
“Here Bebe Rexha is being escorted out of the NYC venue […]. We all had a damn good time, Bebe too, we all had a blast, I mean who does that anyway??? We hope you’re doing well,” wrote one concert-goer.
“Bebe Rexha is nice and easygoing yet she still gets unfounded hate on social media and just had a phone thrown at her for no reason I mean what’s wrong with you!! You deserve better Bebe,” another user posted.
“That’s what Bebe Rexha does, make people happy, give them the time of their lives. THAT’S ALL, you’re gross for hating her so AND NOW THROWS THINGS AT HER, too,” one user said in a comment on a fan footage of the concert.
Bebe Rexha is currently on her Best F’n Night Of My Life tour. A concert in Germany is also on the agenda: on July 30th she will play in the Live Music Hall in Cologne.
