According to the AD, Beau van Erven Dorens and Renze Klamer are anything but enthusiastic about the new program that RTL 4 prepares behind the scenes for the late evening: RTL Tonight.

For Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan, the late evening of RTL 4 already felt as dutifully running, but what will Renze Klamer feel sewn into the suit now that Peter van der Vorst also gets his name from the facade. All three will soon be merged with the generic RTL Tonight, where they are even more interchangeable than they already were.

‘Well

RTL Tonight is really very different from Beau, Humberto and Renze were: the talk show table disappears and a desk replaces it. The current guests are largely exchanged for a panel of fixed opinion makers, a bit that today’s success is based. In other words: there appears to be some after-purse.

Ad-Opiniediva Angela de Jong thinks the Sad for Renze. She was recently a guest in his very last talk show old style. “I really did my best to count all the RTL top people who came to say goodbye there. It’s an important moment, so I think: they’ll come to say goodbye. There were zero,” she says in the Ad Mediapodcast.

Missed opportunity

None of the RTL top was present, says Angela. No Sven Sauvé and no Peter van der Vorst. “I found that striking, a missed opportunity for them.”

Mediajournalist Marcus den Blanken: “I have to do a bit with Renze, because of course he was already so hup, thrown off at the eve, while he actually made a much better program than everything that came after.”

“And now he is also very nice on RTL, we really see him grow, we see him get better and then he is exchanged for a boulevard clone.”

‘Not in the mood’

Fellow journalist Gudo Tienhooven has understood that Beau and Renze Totaal not amused are. “Does Renze feel like such a boulevard -like program? I wonder. You can hear that in the corridors, that he doesn’t feel like it, and that Beau doesn’t feel like it either.”

Finally, Angela: “And come there his qualities for the better? Yes, I don’t rule out … I dare to set up a bottle of wine that he might go back to the NPO, if all this is not right. I would also award him.”
