The beach police maintains daily contact with beach operators and owners of beach cabins. Beach bars are also part of De Ronde. Frank Thiers from Blue Buddha Beach Club understands the importance of supervision: “Where many people are, you soon talk about nuisance. But in all those years here we have never experienced serious incidents.”

Yet the work of the beach police is becoming increasingly intensive. Last summer they intervened 750 times, including for noise, illegal dumping and small conflicts. Striking: in more than 400 cases it was about lost children. To avoid that, identification poles and clear agreements with parents are given more priority.
