A4 between De Hoek and Den Ruygen Hoek

The asphalt on the A4 between the De Hoek junction and the Den Ruygen Hoek service area is being replaced. From April 17 to May 4, the road in the direction of The Hague will be partially closed, which may add up to 30 minutes of extra travel time.

A9 between Alkmaar and Uitgeest

Road users on the A9 between Alkmaar and Uitgeest can also expect delays. Between May 18 and June 26, a ride on this route takes 30 minutes to an hour longer. The asphalt will be replaced in one direction, meaning all traffic will have to use the other lane. Both directions have only two narrowed lanes with a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour.

Neighborhood tunnel

During the summer holidays, the Wijkertunnel (A9) will be closed in both directions for four weeks. The tunnel’s ventilation system will be replaced between July 12 and August 8. Rijkswaterstaat advises road users to drive via the Velsertunnel (A22) and the Coentunnel (A10). Please take into account 30 minutes to an hour of extra travel time.

A1 between Eemnes and Muiderberg

Rijkswaterstaat is busy during the summer holidays, because road work is also underway on the A1 between the Eemnes junction and Muiderberg. From July 3 to August 17, your journey will take up to an hour longer, due to diversions via Flevoland (A27, A6, A1) and Utrecht (A28, A27, A2).

Weekend closures

Many weekend closures will take place around Amsterdam between January and November, due to two major projects on the A9 and A10.

The A9 becomes deepened and broadened between Badhoevedorp and Holendrecht. The road will therefore be closed to traffic for 12 weekends.

The A10 will more than ten weekends are closed between Ring South and the connecting road from Ring West. In the summer, the underpass at the Amstelveenseweg will be closed to cyclists and pedestrians. These activities are part of it Zuidasdok project.
