BC Ostend extends its hand to the title
BCO had crushed the Giants by 34 points in the second game and just continued on that momentum. Tyree and Van der Vuurst were immediately on fire, the Giants had to gasp just like Tuesday evening: 16-32 after the first quarter. Under the impetus of Upshaw and Mwema, the Giants scrambled straight and the home team almost caused a remontada: 41-49 halfway.
But again BCO struck mercilessly in the third quarter. The Giants couldn’t get through and barely scored six runs. With a strong Bleijenbergh (ex-Antwerp), Ostend was again more than 20 points ahead. The fourth quarter was barely there for the history books. BCO can soon be in those books again, with an amazing twelfth title in a row. It can arrive next Saturday, in-house.
