Canadian rapper bbno$ (pronounced “baby no money”) is a prime example of artists who are also successful as independent musicians: the music of the kinesiologist and former competitive swimmer has already made the list of the world’s 100 most streamed artists* on Spotify.

In his new track “Mathematics”, the rapper flows extremely casually and humorously at bus stops, between seniors swimming synchronized or sheep in the pasture. It’s the first harbinger of his seventh album, due out this fall.

The Vancouver-born rapper describes his own music as “ignorant but melodic”, and he became known in 2019 primarily for his single “Lalala”, which was released at the time. His latest album EAT YA VEGGIES was released in 2021. In addition, the 26-year-old has already generated 3.6 billion streams and ten million TikTok creations. His concerts in Europe, North America, China and Australia are already fully booked.

Another opportunity to see the Vancouver rapper is at the Splash Festival in Gräfenhainichen on July 7th.
