In the provisional election results of the Drents Overijsselse Delta Water Board (WDODelta), the BBB won nine of the 25 seats. Water Naturally follows with five seats in second place in the water board.
Outside BBB, only newcomer Party for the Animals managed to make a profit. They won two seats in the elections. The VVD and CDA both lost and both have two seats left.
The turnout rate in WDODelta was 63.4 percent, almost six percent higher than four years ago. The final result will be announced on March 23.
BBB is now the largest in three of the four water boards active in Drenthe, according to the provisional results. Only in Noorderzijlves did Water Naturally beat the BBB.
