Bayern star Kingsley Coman is injured in Augsburg

FC Bayern’s bad luck with injuries continues. In Augsburg an offensive player was hit. He couldn’t even walk into the locker room on his own and could be out for a long time.

Bitter news for FC Bayern: Kingsley Coman was injured in the away game in Augsburg. The offensive man was hit after 24 minutes when Pavlović scored the opening goal. FCA attacker Philip Tietz fell on him.

Coman was no longer able to perform and had to leave the pitch with the support of his supervisors. Compatriot Mathys Tel came into the game for him. Coman is now threatened with a long outage.

Bayern’s injury list is already long

A diagnosis is still pending. However, the broadcasting TV station Sky reported during the second half that crutches had been brought into the Bayern dressing room because Coman continued to have problems with his appearance.

After the game, Thomas Tuchel spoke of a knee injury to his player. “We’ll check the ligaments in the knee tomorrow. I can’t speculate, but it’s extremely painful right now,” said the coach. Video footage from the mixed zone showed Coman on crutches after the game, as reported by Sky.

For Thomas Tuchel, the winger’s injury is the next piece of shocking news. Bayern are already badly hit in terms of personnel. Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano and Joshua Kimmich were recently injured and none of them made the trip to Augsburg. Min-jae Kim and Noussair Mazraoui are also missing. They play with their nations at the Asian Championships and the Africa Cup. In addition, there are the long-term injured Serge Gnabry (muscle tendon injury in the left adductor area), Bouna Sarr (torn cruciate ligament) and Daniel Peretz (inner ligament injury in the right knee).

It is also a fact that the 27-year-old Coman has often been out due to injuries in the past. He repeatedly struggles with muscle injuries. In December, for example, he missed two games due to a torn muscle.
