Halloween in Munich and a Bayern star is taking part. Joshua Kimmich delights his Instagram followers in a pumpkin costume.

Would you have given him candy at the door? Bayern star Joshua Kimmich posted two photos of himself in a pumpkin costume with matching headgear on Instagram on Friday evening in keeping with Halloween. Kimmich writes: “Have you dressed up too?”

His fans like it – there were more than 200,000 likes for the post after just a few hours (as of Saturday 7 a.m.). A user comments with a laughing smiley: “Imagine Joshua Kimmich ringing your doorbell like that.” Another writes: “Kimmich is standing there in a pumpkin costume. I love it.”

Kimmich’s national team mate David Raum is among the almost 1,000 comments. The RB Leipzig defender simply commented dryly on the Kimmich post: “Top model”.

Kimmich rounded off his contribution with the words: “We’ll see us tomorrow.” What does he mean by that? For Kimmich, the top game in the Bundesliga is coming up right after Halloween. FC Bayern will face Bayer Leverkusen today at 6:30 p.m. in the top game of the Bundesliga (in the live ticker on t-online) in the Allianz Arena. The Munich team, who are still without a loss, want to continue their record series against the former champions. It was the German record champions’ 14th win in their 14th game since the start of the season.

But Leverkusen also comes to Munich with a lot of self-confidence and a record. The Werkself have now been unbeaten in 37 away games (25 wins, twelve draws). Under new coach Kasper Hjulmand, Leverkusen has scored 16 out of 18 possible points and is still unbeaten after six games.
