The collision between Robin Fellhauer and Sacha Boey overshadowed the victory of FC Bayern in Augsburg. Now the defender spoke up.
It was the tragic scene of the game between FC Augsburg and FC Bayern: FCA professional Robin Fellhauer and the Munich Sacha Boey rattled with their heads with their heads. While the Frenchman did not suffer any visible damage, it caught the new addition of the Fuggerstadt residents.
Fellhauer had to be brought off the pitch with a stretcher after a long treatment. The diagnosis according to Augsburg’s coach Sandro Wagner: “A heavy concussion”.
It was also the former Bayern striker who criticized Boey afterwards. “It was just a brutal foul,” said the former assistant coach of the German national team. Intention he wanted Boey, who saw the yellow card for his effort, but did not. “The only thing I would have liked: that he does not go away – too cool for the world – but immediately sorry and not only when he sees that the young man can no longer move.”
Wagner’s words apparently penetrated to Boey afterwards. At least the 24-year-old apologized again in the evening-and even publicly. Boey posted a post in his story on Instagram. In it he wrote: “Again: I’m sorry what happened and get well soon, Robin Fellhauer.” He linked the profile of the Augsburg. He also apologized with an emoji of praying hands.
Boey came to FC Bayern from Galatasaray Istanbul in January 2024. The club invested 30 million euros in the player, who has not yet been able to justify confidence in him in the first year and a half. So far, Boey has been used in every competitive game by the German record champion. In Augsburg he was substituted around 20 minutes before the end. Bayern won 3-2 in the WWK Arena.
