Bayern Munich | Sané on Kane: “It can definitely get better”

At FC Bayern, there were already indications that Leroy Sané and newcomer Harry Kane harmonize well on the offensive. The German national player still sees room for improvement.

In the “kicker” interview, Sané raved about his new teammate. “I’ve played against him many times before at Manchester City,” said the winger.

The 27-year-old continued: “Anyway I follow the Premier League very closely and there can be no two opinions that Harry has been one of the best centre-forwards in the world there over the past decade and in a league full of numerous other world-class nines.”

Personally, Kane has “fitted in very well” since moving from Tottenham Hotspur to Munich and makes a “professional and down-to-earth impression”. The English superstar is a “completely normal guy,” said Sané.

“It can definitely get better”

According to Sané, the fact that FC Bayern finally have a real nine in their squad is important for the German record champions’ style of play. “But Harry also lets himself fall, so that we can rotate well,” emphasized the former Schalke player, adding: “I love to move quickly from attacking midfield to the front.”

The rotation has already worked well with Kane. “And with even more games and training sessions, it can definitely get even better,” Sané is certain.

Kane has already scored three goals in four competitive games for FC Bayern this season. There is also a template. Sané also has three goals.

Before the current season, Sané had already announced that he wanted to score more goals for Munich. “I know myself that I could have scored one or two more goals last season – there can be no two opinions,” said the 27-year-old self-critically to “Bild”.
