Bayern Munich | Rumors of an early end: Kahn speaks plainly!

After the end of the Champions League against Manchester City, FC Bayern is in a crisis of meaning. Within a few weeks, the Munich team lost two out of three titles they were aiming for, and even the championship in the long-distance duel with BVB is anything but certain. Now CEO Oliver Kahn has faced the growing criticism in the area and the calls for his end.

“I’m not wasting a second at the moment worrying about my contract, it’s always about FC Bayern,” the 53-year-old clarified in an interview with “Bild”.

Previously, several prominent ex-professionals, including record national player Lothar Matthäus and Frankfurt legend Jan Age Fjörtoft, had hinted at a possible imminent dismissal of Kahn.

The club boss, like sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, got caught in the crossfire. Both are accused of not providing good crisis management.

Kahn wants to “turn every stone” at Bayern Munich

Kahn makes no secret of his disappointment at the crash of the past few weeks. “The sporting results that we have recently delivered do not meet our expectations,” emphasized the former world-class goalkeeper.

His zest for action is undiminished. “The goal is to get FC Bayern back exactly where it belongs: at the top in all competitions. We will turn every stone for that,” announced the official.

Previously, the “image” had suspected that the CEO would “brutally wobble”. Kahn is contractually bound to Bayern until the end of 2024, but his departure could be brought forward, according to the alleged considerations.

At the weekend, FC Bayern are visiting the in-form FSV Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga.
