VfL Bochum could lose Tim Oermann to Bayer Leverkusen in summer. As “Sky” reports, the central defender and the Werkself have verbally agreed on a transfer. Negotiations between the clubs will soon begin as the next step. At the district club, the 21-year-old has a contract until 2026. 3 million to 4 million euros are under discussion as a transfer.

If there is a change, this does not automatically mean that Oermann will open for the Rhinelander next season. An option is also that it is awarded for one year to collect further game practice. Oermann has been trained in Bochum since 2012, for which professionals made his debut in 2022. Since then, 47 games have been booked, 45 of them in the Bundesliga. In the second half of 2022/23, he had also gained experience in Austria with a loan for the Wolfsberger AC.
In addition to Bayer 04, Werder Bremen and Mainz 05 should also show interest in the German U21 international and hope for a chance if a transfer to Leverkusen fails.
