The XXL break at Bayer Leverkusen continues. As a new option for the offensive, the Werkelf presented Elise Ben Seghir late Sunday evening. The 20-year-old comes from AS Monaco and is the third newcomer, which costs over 30 million euros. The left wing, which can also be used in the center, signed a contract until June 30, 2030.
The basic revenge for Ben Seghir is reported to be at EUR 32 million, with which only the Malik Tillman (23) and Jarell Quansah (22, 35 million each) were also more expensive. With the 15th newcomer, the transfer editions of the Leverkuseners increase to EUR 173 million. RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga record from the 2023/24 season of 187 million euros is no longer far. Until the transfer on Monday evening at 8 p.m., further obligations such as Ezequiel Fernández (23) by al-Qadsiah are to follow. Ben Seghir leaves Monaco, because his relationship with coach Adi Hütter is not said to have been the best and this was also reflected in his season.
