Bayer 04 Leverkusen has announced the commitment of central defender talent Abdoulaye Faye. The 20-year-old Senegalese comes from BK Häcken from Sweden and receives a contract until 2030 at the Werkelf. According to the “kicker”, the transfer should be just under EUR 3 million.

“With Abdoulaye Faye, we have won an extremely talented defender for us. His commitment is a transfer with foresight, Abdoulaye is a promise for the future of Bayer 04 Leverkusen,” said Bayer Managing Director Sport Simon Rolfes. According to Director Football Kim Falkenberg, “Abdoulaye Faye brings everything to become a strong player of our workself. He is a very good footballer, has an excellent opening and pass quality”.

Faye explained: “Leverkusen offers me a great opportunity that I really want to use. I will now do everything I can to recommend myself in the long term at Bayer 04. This is a top European club – wearing the Leverkusen jersey every day.” The 1.91 meter tall youngster came for horns, where he was still under contract until the end of 2026, for eleven professional missions and two goals. Its market value is estimated at 2 million euros.

According to several reports, the Leverkuseners are also faced with Liverpool FC. The 22-year-old could step into the footsteps of Jonathan Tah (29), who was switched to FC Bayern. In this case, 30 million euros are to flow as the basic revenue.
