The League gives the numbers for the first round: Trento, Brescia, Derthona with the newly promoted teams (Trieste and Trapani) are the most followed. Naples, Scafati, Bologna, Sassari and Milan are decreasing
Almost 4,000 spectators on average (3,964 to be exact) in the first round of Serie A. The percentage of occupancy (75.8 percent) of the structures hosting the matches is growing. And seven clubs (out of sixteen) exceed 80 percent. The top national basketball tournament is a no-brainer. With a total income of 7,051,312 million euros and an average of 58,761 per match. Excellent numbers. At least in line with the 2023-24 season, when the average attendance was higher by a trifle: 3,968.
increments

Audience increased by 11.3 percent in Trento, also facilitated by the excellent performance of Dolomiti Energia Trentino which is third in the standings at the end of the first round. The figures: 400 more spectators on average than last season (3,872 to 3,478) in a sports hall that can hold 4,000 and is on average 96.8 percent full. Great public following also in Brescia, with Germani leading the league at the halfway point. Here too there is an average increase of around 400 spectators (4712 to 4361) with an increase of 8 percent and a stadium that fills up on average to 90.6 percent, being able to contain 5,200 people. The podium in terms of audience increases (7.6 percent) belongs to Tortona, which finished eighth on the first leg. On average, 2,181 spectators follow her, compared to 2,027 units last season in a structure that can contain 3,510 people and which is filled on average at 62.1 percent.
newly promoted
—
The newly promoted players deserve a separate discussion as they are both doing well. Pallacanestro Trieste, seventh at the end of the first leg, has an average of 5,668 spectators in a building that can accommodate 6,736 with 84.1 percent of the seats occupied. It almost always fills the structure (4,325 people) in which Trapani plays, third in the ranking, after a sumptuous signing campaign, with 4,201 fans following it for a 97.1 percentage.
declines
—
Results count, of course. This is especially the case for Napolibasket, last in the ranking, which compared to last season has lost more than a third (-34.5 percent) of spectators on average (2,372 compared to 3,622 in 2023-24) with fewer spectators in the stadium than it can contain 3,890 and is 61 percent full. The results are also condemning Givova Scafati, fourth last at the halfway point, with almost 400 spectators (-15.4) less on average: 2,027 compared to 2,396 in a 3,700 capacity sports hall which is just over half full, 54, 8 percent. Drops in attendance (-9.6 percent) are also important for Virtus Bologna, fourth in the rankings, which drops on average from 6,024 to 5,445 in a structure with almost 9 thousand seats (8,991) and which is filled at 60.6 percent . Banco di Sardegna Sassari also did poorly (-9.4 percent) with almost 400 fewer people (3,404 to 3,083) in a 5,000-person sports hall that accommodates only 61.7 of the capacity. There was also a decrease (-6.5 percent) for Olimpia Milano, fifth in the ranking with 8,530 spectators on average compared to 9,121 last year. It should be remembered that the Unipol Forum in Assago can host 12,331 spectators and is 69.2 percent full this year.
