The Bundesliga club showed a strong performance against leaders Olympiacos Piraeus, especially in the second half, but still lost 92: 100 (46:61). Before the game, it was clear that Alba would end the premier class for the second time in a row. The best Berlin throwers in front of 11,050 spectators were Yanni Wetzell with 19, as well as Matt Thomas and Gabriele Procida with twelve points each.
The hosts were allowed to do the first two points in the game, but it should remain the last tour for a long time. Then the Greeks turned up – fired by numerous fans in the hall – and almost scored at will. Alba had nothing to oppose that at first, it was a class difference. In the first quarter alone, the Berliners received 36 points.
